Update

I just realized I haven't updated here in a while! Anyway I haven't been up to a whole lot lately, just working on a bunch of commissions and such. I succumbed to working in retail again over christmas just to earn some extra cash for my holiday in Jan and to save for a possible location shift when our lease runs out next year. I'm not sure how keen I am on moving and It'll be like a kick in the guts for me if I don't succeed with my plan 'A' and have a job designing at a studio or company and have to go with moving plan 'B', but hey fresh starts are a fun adventure...

Cool news! I am now selling some pieces in the Manky Chops gallery on Cuba street! It has recently gone from being just a gallery to being a store with a whole bunch of awesome artists and cool work displayed. So I added mine to the mix.

Here is my current wip - a commission for a friend of mine in an 'anime' style. It's a fun challenge as I haven't really tried doing the whole 'anime drawing style' properly before and since he asked I figured I'd give it a go :)

Yoyo

I finally painted my Munny a whole year and a half after I bought it. I haven't drawn anything for a couple of days due to being crazily nervous about 'actually' applying for jobs at design places.. (so far unsuccessfully). Painting 'yoyo' got me out of my creative funk! Hurray! :D

I was inspired by DeathBYsodaCAn on Deviantart to draw my take on what Kenny from South Park could look like.

Moss character rotation

A 3 part character rotation of my base jumper character 'Moss' for my portfolio. It was the final piece I am going to add before I get it all printed and handed out to some sweet design places. I'm pretty excited. I think I'll do more drawing of Moss in the future, it would be cool to draw him with his base rig and some buddies etc too.

Fairy Girl

A couple of days ago I completed my first proper digital painting in photoshop. I am selling 50 prints of this on Trademe all done on quality textured card and numbered and signed by me.
